Position Title: Project Accountant - Roberts Garages

Reports to: Group Finance Manager

Purpose of the Position

To maintain the financial records of the company, ensuring all financial transactions are appropriately recorded. Also, to assist the Group Finance Manager with project tasks relating to systems implementation, systems improvement and reporting. Meanwhile ensuring appropriate professional standards are established and maintained.

Principal Responsibilities

• Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet and cash accounts on a monthly basis by the set deadlines, taking corrective action promptly where necessary.
• Assist the Group Finance Manager in developing and implementing systems improvements to ensure the efficient and effective management of the business.
• Oversee cash receipting.
• Maintain monthly accruals and prepayments.
• Support the Central Services Function to ensure performance is in line with company objectives.
• Assist the Group Finance Manager in developing and maintaining adequate and effective internal controls to ensure the effective operation of the business across all its business activities.
• Assist the Group Finance Manager in maintaining accounting procedures, standards and policies to ensure continued compliance with professional accounting principles and to provide a framework for all internal stakeholders to work to.
• Assist the Group Finance Manager in reviewing processes and procedures to ensure they are effective and efficient.
• To undertake any other tasks as required by the Group Finance Manager to support the business.

Skills & Experience

• Preferably finalist or IAB qualified.
• Experience of working in a Commercial Environment
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Proven track record of working as a Team Player
• Highly organised

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
