Salary: £23,500 - £26,000 per annum

Main purpose:

IV Publishing is a not for profit publishing house known for transformative books on Islamic civilisation, community, spirituality and theology. We reach a broad spectrum of readers and offer deep and insightful views on various topics.

We publish contemporary titles by the most acclaimed authors of our time, as well as translations of classical works and previously unpublished manuscripts. More than a publishing company, we seek to explore the Islamic tradition in all its sciences.

We are committed to communicating the Islamic literature through our works that include precise translations of original Arabic manuscripts still relevant to people living in the modern era. As the Project coordinator you will be given responsibility to support the Chairman to bring forward a number of publications.

You will also help shape the way we engage and communicate with people through social media and digital marketing. You will receive experience and a project management training that will equip you with skills for a successful career in development and regeneration.

This is a unique opportunity for a print sales or book production professional with excellent account management skills to join a publisher of high-end books. In this role you will use your project management and print expertise to work with clients to develop books and manage the publishing process from concept development through to final publication.

Key duties:

  • Take on and execute briefs provided by both the Chairman and directly from clients
  • Manage book publishing projects from concept to completion.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with prospective partners, including galleries, artists and architects.
  • Research and identify new publishing partners to approach.
  • Maintain frequent contact with clients, guiding them through the publishing process.
  • Liase with the editorial team to make sure all content is delivered to schedule.
  • Work with the designer to check printer proofs before press.
  • Write print specifications and liaise with printers throughout the process.
  • Strong account management or project management experience in print publishing.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of compiling print specifications and working with printers, web developers and other external suppliers
  • Work with the Publishing Chairman to ensure all projects are produced to the highest quality standard

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £23,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
