Our Project Manager roles are within the Helicopters division of the company situated in the country town of Yeovil, Somerset. Leonardo Helicopters is a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of helicopters. Reporting to the Programme Manager and, as a key role within an Integrated Project team, you understand the importance of building a network and maintaining strong relationships in the overall success of the business and in achieving key milestones and deliverables.

As Project Manager you have responsibility for providing overall leadership, management and co-ordination of the project team. Authority and responsibility is provided from the Programme Manager for delivering the project to schedule, cost and quality.-
You will ensure effective communications to proactively encourage project delivery across all functional business areas to achieve quality and schedule within budget.

You will proactively monitor project progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.

You will identify and manage risks to the project, including the development of contingency plan.

You will direct & manage the required support from the Programme Management Organisation (PMO) to ensure effective planning, risk management and configuration control.

You will engage with Integrated Project Teams, Customers and vendors in line with level of accountability.
You will conduct project reviews and make recommendations to appropriate business areas

Whilst not essential for applicants, some experience of working collaboratively with other cultures would be advantageous as opportunities for working on the International Programmes will exist.
