Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the busy administrative team that support the Adult and Older Adult Community Mental Health Teams in Honiton.

This is a full time 37.5 hour per week role however we would consider part time applicants who could work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist with excellent IT, communication and customer service skills. We welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner. If you have great people skills and a flair for organisation then this vacancy could be for you.

Main duties of the job

The post holders role will be to work in partnership with the Clinical teams and Business Administrators, ensuring high quality customer service and administrative support that will enable the provision of the best possible care to service users.

You will be required to use your own initiative and have the ability to prioritise work, whilst working calmly and confidently under pressure and able to meet conflicting demands. You must be able to multi-task with ease and possess excellent organisational skills as well as an eye for detail. The post holder needs to relate to a wide range of people and professional services. You should have excellent communication skills and an outstanding telephone manner.

The clinical teams provide care and treatment to people with mental health needs so compassion and understanding is extremely important in this role as you will be the first point of contact for our service users, their family and carers as well as professionals.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of professionalism and providing services in accordance with the Trusts values and behaviours. Other qualities include being punctual, reliable, of smart appearance and hard working with a can-do attitude.
