SALES EXECUTIVE

Monday - Friday, 7:30am – 16:30pm

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive to join our busy Trading team at our Preston site near Hull (HU12 8TB). The successful candidate will become an integral part of our forward-thinking Trading team, providing sales support to and assisting with the day to day running of the Trading office. You should enjoy working with a wide variety of people and be able to operate professionally and efficiently even when under pressure.

Experience in the industry is not essential as full training will be provided and ongoing. With our industry leading facilities and ambitious growth plan, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts within fresh pork
• Develop new sales opportunities within the UK and Europe
• Visit customers / suppliers to increase value/quality/relationships
• Complete all order processing accurately and in accordance with the required timescales
• Support the Trading Manager with new and existing opportunities
• Support internal business requirements
• Investigate discrepancies and produce relevant reports when requested
• Update all relevant records and files to ensure the smooth running of the sale function
• Assist in any other areas required by the sales function
• Provide cover for members of the sales and planning team on occasions which require it
• Undertake such ad-hoc duties as maybe required to benefit the business
• Deliver on KPIs

Requirements, experience and person specification

• Attention to detail & strong communication skills
• Flexible approach to working as well as good at using your initiative
• Be trustworthy with confidential information and an excellent team player.
• MS Office skills; Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Pro-active nature and ability to remain professional and business focused
