Job Description :
Are you someone experienced in the Supply of water Quality, who enjoys being out on the road where no two days are the same?
What will you be doing?
On a day-to-day basis you will be visiting Bristol Water assets and customers properties collecting water quality samples, undertaking field measurements for chemical and physical parameters. Checking equipment and quality control analysis for chlorine measurement.
Day to day you’ll be…
- Collecting treated, process, surface and groundwater samples from a variety of company assets and customers properties.
- Plan effective daily sampling routes.
- Correctly labelling and transport samples.
- Carry out on-site testing for chemical and physical parameters using the appropriate equipment and adhering to strict procedures.
- Record results accurately
- Formally record any anomalies that have been identified with sampling equipment or measurement.
- Participate in a weekend and standby rota.
What we’re looking for...
- Ability to verbally communicate confidently with the customers.
- Knowledge of the Water Supply (Quality) Regulations and UKAS Accreditation ISO17025 DWTS standard
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- A driving licence.
- Able to work and follow strict procedures methodically and consistently.
- Accurately record data and interpret against specifications.
Ideally, you’ll also be…
- Physically fit (there is a manual handling aspect to the role.)
- Ability to navigate with the use of electronic aids and traditional maps.
