What you’ll be doing…

The next few months is a busy time on the farm at Riverford. If you love working in the great outdoors (come rain or shine), in polytunnels, cultivating plants or and enjoy working as part of a team then you could join us for the next few months harvesting our organic veg.

You’ll get the opportunity to harvest and cultivate different crops, as well as getting involved with moving crop covers, planting, weeding, and hoeing. Previous experience of farm work would be great, but otherwise we are looking for a can-do, positive attitude and a resilience for doing manual work outdoors or in the tunnels.

Skills & Experience…

• Previous harvesting work desirable
• Able to cope with the physical demands of outdoor and polytunnel manual work
• Manual handling experience is desirable. You will be required to lift and manoeuvre crates of produce for this role.

What are the hours? 39 hours a week, working 5 days out of 7 with regular opportunities to pick up overtime. 7am -3pm is a typical day in March, however an earlier start time of 5/6am is required in the summer

What are we paying? £10.02 per hour

Fixed Term Contract until September
