Job Overview

To be responsible for all security related matters within their designated building, ensuring the protection of infrastructure, safety of personnel and that all actions of the security team have a positive impact on the reputation of the firm. All security matters must be dealt with in accordance with the set policies and procedures, where applicable, and Supervisors must be able to use their initiative during incident management. Supervisors must work closely with operational management to provide a professional and efficient service to the client.

Job Description

• Responsible for the physical security of the premises, in conjunction with other Supervisor on duty
• Ensure the security team for their building is rostered and staffed as required by the staffing plan (in conjunction with the Scheduler).
• Management of the security team on shift (including: the distribution of daily rotas,daily rollcall, shift administration inc standing orders and Supervisor Noticeboard daily update, and holiday management).
• Undertaking either roving or SCR supervisor responsibilities as detailed in SOPs and AIs
• Maintain and update appraisal reviews and monthly Quality Inspection Reports.
• Ø Carry out the duties of Incident Commander in the event of incidents and alarm activations ensuring the correct application of escalation procedures.
• Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and the client.
• Ensure adherence to the agreed SOP’s by the security staff.
• Work to agreed Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments at all times.
• Ensure high standards at all times with a focus on maximising the output and performance of all team members.
• Take responsibility for the induction and training for new starters, in conjunction with the ISS Management Team. Mentoring of staff as required.
• Complete D3 incident reports in the event of an incident, focusing on quality and timely reporting.
• Work in conjunction with the Fire Life Safety team to manage Fire Safety processes and system issues.

• Promote a secure and safe working environment at each site through the implementation and continuous improvement of agreed Health and Safety actions.
• Lead the security team by fostering team spirit and co-operation.
• First line Management of team dynamics (including fostering team spirit and co-operation, the encouragement of open expression of differing ideas and opinions and ensuring the resolution). Management of professional standards incorporating company HR and disciplinary processes.

Personal Specifications

Valid Frontline SIA licence

Valid FAAW

• SIA Security Guarding, Door Supervisor or CP Licence? (required)
