SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Release Train Engineer
The Role
You will be positioned as the Release Train engineer for our customers, having responsibility to steer the teams in delivering value and coach the agile release train on agile processes & purpose. Looking for an experience Release train engineer who can help our customers implementing Scaled agile processes and establishing high performing agile teams focusing on lean delivery with the right mindset and culture of continuous improvement.
Skills And Experience
- Extensive knowledge on agile methodologies of SAFe (Scaled agile framework), Scrum, Kanban
- Proven capability in managing end-to-end delivery of Agile projects and accurate production of agreed deliverables
- Working experience as Release Train engineer or Scrum master steering multiple agile teams
- Experience of working with third-party suppliers, multi-vendor environment managing cross-functional teams
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills at senior levels
- Experience of working across multiple industry sectors (preferable)
- Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills, communication and presentation skills, and a relationship builder with the ability to convince
- Energetic and independent; open to lead and coach
- Delivery experience following different agile contractual models e.g., Output based delivery
- Knowledge Agile life cycle tools e.g. JIRA
- Culture awareness and working experience with geo-distributed environment
Area of Responsibilities
- Lead delivery for Agile Release train (multiple agile teams) in large scale organization
- Establish and facilitate scaled agile practices of PI planning, PI execution, System Demo, Inspect & Adapt
- Thoroughly Manage Risk, issues, and dependencies
- Track and manage PI goals by periodic sync event (e.g., ART Sync)
- Provide inputs to resourcing
- Achieve OKRs in portfolio and optimize through Performance, Impediment management and improvement process
- Work with Solution/Portfolio level various roles (e.g., Solution Train engineer, Epic owner etc.) and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
- Guide the way of working to the various organizational roles and agile teams
- Coach the team transitioning towards product centric delivery approach.
- Enable Product owners, Scrum masters and agile team members to realize the agile benefits
- Contribute to customer organization Community of practices
- Assessing organization readiness & Agile implementation maturity across teams; identify area of improvements and fit for the purpose solutions
Certification & Training:
- Mandatory: SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Advanced Scrum master (SASM)
- Good to have: SAFe RTE (Release Train Engineer) or SAFe SPC (SAFe Program Consultant)

- Contribute to the development of a knowledge management led approach ensuring the development of reusable collateral from assignments
- Support recruitment activities by taking part in candidate screening and interview sessions
