We’re currently building our team made up of Virgin company lifers, loyalty experts, technology whizz’s and random others! Right now, we’re looking for a Senior PMO Analyst to join our Delivery team. If you think it could be you, read on…


We are looking for a Senior PMO Analyst to support the development and establishment of the Portfolio Management Office that sits across the Virgin Red portfolio. The portfolio includes programmes and projects that deliver on our strategic priorities, organisational development, business process and self-service automation, finance and other internal business tools and services.


Key responsibilities are:

  • Working with the Head of PMO and the Delivery Leadership team to support the creation, development and establishment of the Portfolio Management Office that sits across the Programmes and Projects.
  • Provide expertise to the design, development and embedding of the delivery framework providing governance and control throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Lead on planning across the portfolio and updating the portfolio plans.
  • Developing and producing reports and dashboards for ExCo and stakeholders on delivery plans and status.
  • Support the creation, development, delivery and embedding of financial management processes.
  • Lead on development and delivery of risk, issue and dependency management processes.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of resource management processes.
  • Build great supplier relationships.
  • Provide a quality assurance function across the company’s portfolio to ensure that the delivery framework and processes are adhered to.
  • Support in the development of the PPM tool - Monday.com.
  • Providing a centre of excellence expertise to the portfolio delivery community.
  • Providing administrative support to delivery framework governance meetings including meeting setup, minutes and action logging and tracking.
  • Coaching and training of PMO team members.

For this role we need you to have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Programme or Portfolio analyst/support functions.
  • Experience of working in a variety of sectors, ideally within smaller scale-up/start-up environments.
  • A strong understanding of project/programme delivery life cycles.
  • Understanding and articulation of the value and impact of PMO to a company’s portfolio.
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Experience of creating and developing PMO processes.
  • Experience of project management methodologies and a knowledge of both waterfall and agile delivery approaches.
  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in working in fast paced environments.
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately whilst keeping to deadlines.
  • Fantastic relationship building skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and without supervision.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience of using SharePoint, Confluence and JIRA.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in using Monday.com (desirable)
  • P3O qualification (desirable).
  • Project Management qualification (desirable)
