University of Leeds
Leeds, England
Job ID : 6646715132535242544958666d46354b4a413d3d
This role is available to University of Leeds graduates only.
This role is a trainee role and will be appointed at University of Leeds Grade 4. The successful candidate will go through a personal development/training plan and upon satisfactory completion of learning goals the individual will advance to University of Leeds Grade 5.
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a University of Leeds graduate considering a career as a data professional? This University of Leeds internship is designed to support and develop a graduate interested in pursuing this career path by joining the sector-leading Insights & Engagement team within the Careers Service.
The role will begin as a Trainee Analyst in the team where you will be exposed to the foundations of data in practice, trained on the tools used to process and analyse data and the processes involved in assuring the work we deliver.
Whilst going through the internship, you will need an excellent attention for detail as you will be hands on with supporting key systems such as the University’s Careers platform ‘MyCareer’ and gleaning insight from data and reports to support our services in making data-informed decisions that support students and graduates in finding their future. You will also join a data analytics community at the university with hundreds of data professionals across the institution, supporting developments and projects beyond the service you are based within.
The internship requires no experience in data or coding, we will train you on those areas. Instead, we’re looking for someone who has a keen interest in data, a passion for finding solutions to problems and ultimately someone who not only wants to become a data professional, but to apply those skills to support our students and graduates towards a meaningful and healthy future.
As the internship (and your skills) progress, you will become an Associate Analyst in the team and will lead on development with systems and data projects, working with numerous departments across the university, and become a subject matter expert for the areas you support.
What we offer in return
And much more!
Interviews are planned to be held on Wednesday 15th March 2023.
