Software Engineer, 1 year Fixed Term Contract

Our R&D centre of excellence in Edinburgh are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative Software Engineer to join our team on a 1-year fixed term contract.
About the role:
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an intellectually stimulating environment, with exposure to leading edge technology in the medical imaging industry. You will be working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team of software engineers, clinicians and scientists responsible for delivering medical AI for clinical decision support, primarily in the natural language processing domain. As a software engineer, you will be responsible for turning our research into software packages for real-world clinical use, as well as designing and building the tools and infrastructure to enable our scientists and clinicians do effective research.
About you:
The successful candidate will be experienced in programming in Python, and ideally have experience with Javascript/typescript/web development. Experience with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow and PyTorch is desirable but not essential. You will have the passion and ability to learn and develop new skills. Candidates should have an excellent academic record or equivalent skills.
You should be able to demonstrate great teamworking skills and the ability to make independent decisions and will be strongly motivated by work that makes a difference in a healthcare environment.
