Student Development Administrative Assistant

Salary: Grade 2 (BAR) £21,532 - £22,312 per annum
This administrative assistant post provides a front facing service to the Learning Support team. This post will be based in City Student Services office. The duties include general administration, dealing with enquiries, preparing reports, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, booking appointments, and a front line point-of-contact for particularly students with additional support needs.
The post holder will prepare and distribute materials for Learning Support processes such education support worker and sign language interpreter timetables, equipment loans, and assist at events.
The ideal candidate will possess Higher grades or HNC equivalent level qualification and have previous experience of working in an administrative role. Excellent IT skills and a working knowledge of social media are essential as well as an ability to manage your time and workload effectively. An understanding of the role of the Student Services function within a Further Education (FE) environment is desirable, but not essential.
To apply for this role you must enjoy working with others, have good communication, liaison and networking skills and be able to work flexibly as part of a team. You must also have good written and verbal communication skills.
