An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Defence United Kingdom as a Supply Chain Specialist - Asset Management !

This role will action and oversight of all material requirements daily harnessing best practice through enterprise Supply Chain Systems. Generate supply solutions for all requirements that are not immediately available. Utilise systems to effectively manage the repair of components assigned to the relevant parts category. Utilise reporting to address any actions – This includes, but is not limited to: New Buys, Excess Requests, Stock Allocations, Analyzing Target Stock Levels, Consumption Data and Condemnation Rates for individual parts. Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver effective communications whilst advising on key business activities.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive, adopt an agile thought process with the ability to solve complex problems alongside a number of functions to develop, form and sustain the strategic supply chain approach for Through Life Contract Support Programme.


Responsibilities:

  • To provide the effective Inventory Management of a set commodity work queue within Supply Chain - Asset Management.

  • Monitor contract and individual performance whilst sustaining an appropriate level of support for an assigned list of parts (work queue).

  • The ability to exercise leadership and display direction to the internal and external stakeholders to implement Boeing best business practice and first time quality

  • Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities that contribute to efficiency savings and benefits for the TLCS-2 Programme.

  • Work in alignment with contractual key performance indicators supporting key supplier activities, developing best practice to support effective contractual execution.

  • Ability to interrogate multiple systems and compare data to draw accurate conclusions based on data reviews.

  • Ability to understand and map Root Causes with an intent to not only draw conclusion but act on corrective action

  • Good stakeholder management

  • Effective interpersonal & communication skills

  • Experience with SC systems

  • Experience of MS Software, ERP systems

  • Previous experience of working within the MOD Supply Chain or Defense contracts
