Job Purpose: Working as part of the Procurement Team to support the achievement of key performance and procurement objectives through the provision of operational, management, and strategic information reports.
Proactive initiation of information analyses including where appropriate; forecasting, trend analysis and modelling; recommending information reports and analysis.

Key Duties:
1. To support the Procurement team in the provision and collation of information for spend reviews, highlighting areas of concern in relation to spend and identifying possible causes and solutions to problems.
2. The post holder will be required to provide and receive complex and/or commercially sensitive information using communication and negotiation skills to overcome barriers to understanding and gain mutual agreement in relation to information.
3. To examine current and historic purchasing trends and identify regular/high spend areas.
4. To assist Clinical Directors and their teams in identifying saving opportunities, arranging for samples to be delivered where appropriate.
5. To maintain and review Procurement initiatives at Group level and ensuring the relevant tracking systems are updated on a regular basis.

Essential Requirements:-

• Extensive use of databases and other PC tools to manipulate, analyse and present information in particular in MS Excel (e.g. Excel pivot tables and functions).
• Experience of programme and project management.
• Experience of using query languages to extract and manipulate data (e.g. SAS, SQL).
