Role Introduction

The Business Analyst (BA) will work as part of the Service Architecture Practice as part of Advanced Managed Services. The BA will support the business in developing and improving applications with varying functions.. The BA will be required to analyse and understand both the business environment as well as specific service requirements in order to develop and document the required development.
The BA will be required to develop detailed procedural documentation, user stories, process relevant test cases, derive requirements, presentations, reports and plan as required by the project. They will be responsible managing backlogs and supporting the team in any improvement activities required, ensuring that applications are developed and implemented in line with the overall architecture and all work is performed in accordance with planned timescales. They will provide status reports as required and work as part of the overall Service Architecture Practice team to resolve issues where they arise.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and document business process user stories and test cases
  • Provide support for the business process testing elements of the test cycle
  • Manage a development backlog
  • Run User Forums for critical applications
  • Analysis of the processes to identify change impacts and identify appropriate methods for handling those impacts as part of the overall development programme
  • Develop and document procedures underpinning the processes
  • Ensure that all documentation is signed off by the required authority
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the Project Plan
  • Ensure that all documentation is provided in a timely manner and meets the required quality levels
  • Report to the Head of Service Architecture

What You Will Have

  • 3 - 5 years SDLC business analysis experience (ideally within ITSM tooling)
  • ServiceNow Experience
  • Ability to identify and understand business drivers and requirements and translate these into actionable user stories
  • Experience in developing & documenting processes
  • Experience in supporting cross functional workshops
  • Strong problem-solving and triage skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
  • Pragmatic hands-on approach to getting the job done
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently, work to tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and work with related internal business functions
  • Ideally holds at least ITIL Foundation Level.
