The Role:

As a Web Front End developer, the successful candidate will be required to work closely with the development team members, Product Owner and independently to develop new products, enhance existing products and maintain legacy products and systems. The successful candidate will be confident in their abilities, diligent in their approach and demonstrate a desire to achieve positive outcomes.

What you will be doing:

• Estimate, design and deliver complex UI/UX solutions.
• Deliver high quality code to agreed deadlines with detailed unit testing.
• Promote high standards and actively seek to improve development processes.
• Actively seek to bring new knowledge and technologies into the team.
• Proactively extend and distribute knowledge to others.
• Carry out design and code reviews to ensuring solutions are secure, future proof, performant and maintainable to agreed standards.
• Maintain the performance of new and existing products. Investigate and resolve performance issues.

To be successful in this role, you bring:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Web Front End developer delivering quality software (UI/UX) solutions.
• Languages / technologies – HTML, CSS
• Experience with Figma, Adobe Suite, InVision, and other industry-standard design tools.
• Create responsive web elements from scratch.
• Proficient in Web Frameworks
• Familiarity with API’s and integration with Front End
• Translate concepts into wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes which lead to intuitive UX.
• Methodologies - Agile, Waterfall (hybrid)
• Experienced in documentation creation / revisions (MS Office)
• Experience with any of the following: Java, Javascript
• Experience with CMS’s.
• Familiarity with Redmine and SVN
• Experience of UI/UX implementation to agreed Accessibility standards.
• Cloud environments and processes (Azure and/or AWS)
• Client facing communication and engagement (during the design & development process)
• Previous worked in the telecommunication industry would be advantageous.

The team currently operate a hybrid working practice. Our ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance of Blackburn (UK) but be able to work effectively from home. On limited occasions, some travel may be required.
