Cash & Carry sales / warehouse operative

The Flower Connection is the Norths leading wholesaler of Plants, Flowers & Sundries, supplying Garden Centres, florists, event specialists and other businesses throughout the region. Our business is based at the Yorkshire Produce Centre, Pontefract where we operate a successful Cash & Carry wholesale business, and also provide an online web-shop and delivery service to our customers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our Plant department. We are a dedicated team of people who love to buy and sell plants from all over the world and who enjoy serving our customers. This position is ideal for someone looking for a long term career with progression and increased earnings opportunities.

Your role will be varied and interesting, you will assist in managing our large stock of plants, customer orders, organising deliveries for dispatch to our customers, dealing with customers in our cash & carry and providing excellent customer service in person and over the phone.

The Job Role

• Motivated, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
• Ability to work early mornings 4am start
• 40 working hours between 4am to 12pm. Flexibility required.
• 5 day working week across Monday to Saturday. (Sunday and one other day off)
• Sales and customer service experience preferred, but not essential
• Indoor and outdoor working.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Role requires manual handling and physical work.
• On site training provided.
• Driving license preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £22,000.00 per year
