Summary
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to help us to support the growth of, and communicate with, our online community focused on helping professionals build and maintain their Portfolio Careers.The successful candidate for this role will report into our COO & CMO, Fiona Chorlton Voong, whilst also collaborating with other departments within the company where needed.This role provides an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious marketing professional to contribute in a fast-paced start-up environment, backed by the knowledge and support of a highly experienced leadership team.
Who are we?
The Portfolio Collective(TPC) was set up by Ben Legg(former COO of Google Europe) in July of 2020 with our COO Fiona Chorlton-Voongand CTO Jesus Iniesta. We could see that in the near future half of all professionals globally will be portfolio professionals, and that they will need support in launching and sustaining successful portfolio careers. You can learn more in our recent Future of Careersarticle.We are now a team of 12 (and growing!) who are passionate about shaping the future of work. In our first two years we have scaled rapidly, with key achievements including:
- Attracted over 200,000 unique visitors to our website
- Conducted 300+ events
- Built a professional networking platform with over 7,200 high-calibre members
- We have raised nearly £1 million to date, having recently closed a successful crowdfundingcampaign. Get to know what we offer by joining and exploring our community.
Key responsibilities:
Community Management: Ongoing engagement with community members to facilitate conversations and encourage relationship building.
Social Media: Working closely with our graphic designer to ideate, create and schedule all our social media content and analyse the data trends to inform our future growth strategy.
Content and emails: Creation of bi-weekly newsletters, promotional emails and landing page copy. You will also be responsible for the management of our external content creators.
Hubspot and CRM: Day-to-day management of our CRM system (Hubspot) and emails.
Events: Support our Community Events Manager with general event management from planning through to execution.
The ideal candidate
You should have 3-5 years of marketing experience and the ability to use data to make informed marketing decisions within a fast-paced working environment (e.g. start-up, creative agency, or similar) and a passion for helping professionals launch and sustain successful portfolio careers.The ideal candidate will have the following personality traits.

- Multi-tasker – able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Analytical and numerate – able to derive insights from data

What can we offer you?
The role will be full-time, with flexible working hours and remote working.
