The Food Stylist will shop for, cook, bake and style food shot in video and still content used across McCormick’s owned channels and in marketing campaigns. This role will work closely with photographers, videographers and content producers as part of McCormick’s internal content production team, which services McCormick’s entire family of EMEA brands (e.g. Schwartz, Ducros, Vahine, Kamis). Awareness and ability to cook global cuisines is essential and having experience and an understanding of French cooking and patisserie is a must.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cook and style a wide range of food and beverage in both home kitchen and food service front and back of house settings. Includes cooking/grilling and baking.
• Manage Content Studio Grocery Shopping and sourcing, placing day-to-day orders.
• Ensure all food shopped for is fresh, visually appealing, accurate and in working order.
• Source specialty ingredients when needed.
• Compose ingredient research including availability.
• Work with content producers to understand project scope and objectives, attend pre-production meetings.
• Help maintain prop library and weekly kitchen inventory:
• Managing orderly and clean kitchen (dishwashing, general cleaning of surfaces).
• Maintain an inventory of basic cooking and kitchen items/staples which are needed on a daily basis.
• Ensure availability and organization of EMEA brand products (spices, seasonings, spice mix, condiments, etc).
• Ensure props are clean, organized, and available when needed.
• Contribute to sourcing props when assigned.
• Hand model and appear in shots with food.
• Keep-record of all spending and turn in monthly expense reports.
• Connect with the McCormick team of Chefs when needed, to ensure regional nuances are met and excellence of recipe cooking and presentation is achieved.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• A degree in Culinary Science or Culinary Arts or relevant experience.
• Previous experience in French cooking and baking will be highly preferable.
• Previous experience working in a food photography setting – styling all types of food and beverages whether for a client, or for personal social media.
• Flexible, patient, and positive mindset – internal deadlines and priorities are constantly changing.
• Team player - must work daily with other creatives to produce content together.
• Able to take constructive feedback and action it in real time, to make changes to setting/food/styling.
• Ability to work with multiple brands with unique styles and tones of voice.
