Role Purpose:
As a Pre-Sales consultant, you will be working with our Head of Pre-Sales to enhance and support the Sales Team with your technical expertise and salesforce knowledge. You will be exposed to customers across a range of verticals and industries and will be exposed to all facets of the salesforce ecosystem.
Also known as a "Presales Consultant," "Solution Engineer," or “Sales Engineer” our Pre-Sales Consultants are responsible for leading the solutioning throughout the sales cycle and delivering thought leadership to companies to transform their customer’s experience.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable configuring and consulting on the salesforce platform and confident presenting to all levels up to, and including, C-level executives. Your objective is to become a trusted technical advisor to our customers and to inspire confidence in makepositive.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
  • Capture business requirements and set the vision translating business objectives into enticing and actionable recommendations, aligned to the correct salesforce solution
  • Create solutions and demonstrate Salesforce functionality for prospects and clients, to support the makepositive sales team in addressing the clients’ business issues and needs, showing business value
  • Develop high level estimates of the requirements through close collaboration with other high performing teams.
  • Lead technical discovery workshops, acting as a trusted advisor to our clients and prospects
  • Collaborate with the internal Delivery team in the creation of makepositive accelerators
  • Contribute effectively and efficiently to RFPs / RFIs / RFQs
  • Display initiative, self-motivation and are driven to deliver high quality results both independently and as part of the makepositive team

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Role Specific Skills
  • Broad knowledge of the salesforce platform, in particular a knowledge of common Salesforce products and technologies
  • Administrator, developer and consultant Salesforce certifications (desired)
  • Proven oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication and relationship skills
  • Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people’s attention
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives across all business units
  • Understand common project approaches, risks and mitigations
  • Willing to travel occasionally

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision within the context of a global team
  • Strong organisational and proven time management skills in a high performing team environment
  • A relevant degree (First or Upper Second) or equivalent
  • A continuous-improvement attitude
  • Ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices
  • Keeping up to date with the latest plans, developments and changes in Salesforce.
