An excellent brand new opportunity for a Project Controller has become available with Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear. We are currently working on a Complex EPC project to deliver a Back-up Generator System for a large Civil Nuclear site. Within the Project there are a large number of contracts that need to be placed in the supply chain to both procure components and services. The Project Controller will join a small emerging team and play a pivotal part in the delivery of the packages of work.
This role would offer an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer, Project Co-ordinator or Project Controller with an engineering background who is looking to develop their Project Management and customer management skills and pursue their APMP training and qualifications.
You will be managing your own packages of work with varying lead times from six months up to two and a half years. You will be working closely with the customer, suppliers and internal stakeholders across the engineering, procurement, planning and technical areas of the business to capture their requirements and manage the progression of the works to successful delivery.

What you will be doing:
Project Engineer/Management skills are essential as you will be:

Accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work.

Managing and reporting variances to project baselines
-
Reporting project Key Performance Indicators in accordance with the defined timescales.

Organising and chair schedule review meetings and report areas where executive decisions need to be made.

Travelling to meet with the customer and suppliers
-
Reviewing project data, identifying and reporting trends
-
Proposing corrective actions when project performance is outside specification.

Project or Technical Co-ordinator experience in a service / engineering or manufacturing environment.

Project Management experience, showing an understanding of the project lifecycle, risk management, cost management, planning and programming.

Experience managing customers, supplier or internal stakeholders expectations

Project Scheduling experience MS Project/Excel /SAP/CEMAR or ERP skills
