An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Consultant as the platform develops a print version to be distributed locally

This is a role will see you in charge of sales, creating a strategy to reach out to local businesses to introduce My Wokingham. The goal is to sell advertising space in the newspaper and to help local businesses to drive new clients to their businesses.

This is a brand new role and ideal for someone who has experience selling newspaper advertising. Rapport building with local businesses and the ability to develop long term relationships will be key

You should be happy to communicate over phone, email and video calling with your clients.

You will showcase our products and develop packages to help secure the best deal

You will be hunting for new business opportunities through a sourcing strategy.

To be successful in this role, you must be driven by targets and KPIs and thrive on exceptional customer service. You will be goal orientated and driven to succeed. You should enjoy a reward culture and have plans to grow your career in media, by taking on continuous self-learning projects.

A background in advertising sales would be an advantage but not essential. Local knowledge of the Borough of Wokingham will also help but not a requirement

This is the first permanent sales role for My Wokingham which intends to grow is sales team. The right individual will have opportunity to lead the team as it grows
