Security Officer

About the role:

The Security Officer is accountable for assisting to ensure that the practical application of security measures, which will include the well-being of colleagues and guests, is according to the agreed policies of SCH/procedures/objectives. Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:

• responsible for carrying out frequent patrols of all guest floors, public and service areas within the Hotel, including irregular checks of the perimeter
• responsible for ensuring guest rooms, offices, service cupboards and any other appropriate doors are locked and free of fire and health hazards
• accountable for initiating procedures in the event of crime, including preparation of reports, written statements, isolation and protection of the scene and liaison with Duty Managers and Police when necessary
• responsible for investigating all accidents and injuries; whether to a guest, member of Staff, or to Hotel property
• responsible for ensuring no unauthorised persons enter the company premises and to ensure that all persons properly seeking admission are courteously received an assisted
• responsible for reporting all breaches of safety regulations including smoking restrictions and prevention of accidents

About you:

You have already gained first work experience in the same or similar role, preferably within a hotel environment. With your good working knowledge of firefighting equipment and procedures you will be able to respond to an emergency immediately. You will already have a valid SIA license.
