The role

We are currently looking for a Security Officer to join our well-established team, based at our manufacturing site in Burnley.

Our site security team are responsibility for the security of the VEKA site, and related welfare of employees and visitors. Duties will include ensuring all areas are safety compliant by conducting Area Safety Inspections, operating and monitoring CCTV, undertaking timed site patrols and booking visitors and vehicles in/out.

What you'll do

• Attend to visitors & on-site contractors
• Undertake office opening & closure procedure
• Maintain an accurate log of events
• Remote monitoring of lone workers
• Operate an HGV weighbridge
• Conduct fire alarm tests and security drills

What you'll need

• Recent site security experience
• Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety
• Solid decision-making skills
• Ability to work a rotating shift pattern including nights and weekends
• Possession of an SIA qualification (desirable)
