SUMMARY


The Project Manager role will support the Transactional Team on several key initiatives and projects taking place concurrently.

Primarily the role will assist with the preparation and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA, (scheduled to be implemented in January 2024), but will also assist with various continuous improvement projects.

This role involves working collaboratively with the global Finance Team, with business partners and our IT colleagues to ensure projects and process efficiencies are identified and successfully implemented from the initial concept to final go-live and on-going support.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES


Key responsibilities will cover several projects with the key ones listed below.

Attending workshops and training sessions

  • Produce training guides & material to assist the transactional team for pre and post go live (e.g., timetable, dark period, key activities).

Review current Bank Reconciliation process for the Group and assess and implement improvement opportunities

  • Enhance the manual payments and direct debit posting processes to reduce manual effort & delays
  • Establish routine controls and reporting to ensure all bank reconciliations are completed each month and in line with the month end timetable

Be the prime lead on the ‘to be’ process in SAP S/4 HANA working closely with Treasury and


IT

Support the transition of bank accounts from Nat West to Barclays in Q1 2023

Expenses Management

Project manage the implementation of Concur, currently planned for Sept 2023

Support the integration of Concur from Sun to SAP S/4 HANA

Power BI / Reporting / Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

Work with the AP & AR Managers to develop KPI reporting for their teams


Procurement / Purchase Orders


  • Assess and support how we implement a new Group PO policy as we transition to a new business culture of Purchase Orders in line with SAP S/4 HANA go live
  • Supporting procurement team in the selection and onboarding process for new Travel Management Coordinator (TMC)

Operational Excellence

  • Support the Transformation team assess opportunities for quick wins to improve processes within the Transactional team, finance, and the wider business
  • Assess where manual processes can be improved or replaced with a more automated approach

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE


Mandatory/Required

  • Minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Managed ERP implementations or similar sized projects
  • Expert knowledge of financial processes and controls
  • Good understanding of procurement, finance systems, Treasury and banking platforms
  • Experience of documenting processes, process mapping and providing training
  • Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proactive with a positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Preferred

  • Project Management qualifications
  • Experience of Sun Systems and Proactis
  • Experience of SAP S/4 HANA
  • Experience of Concur including global implementations
  • Excellent MS excel skills including KPI reporting & Power BI
