About us

The DataKirk is an Edinburgh based Social Enterprise with the aim to closing both the data divide and attainment gap in Scotland. We are working to change the face of Scotland’s future talent pool by increasing the representation of the disadvantaged groups in the data economy. The project involves a large number of partners and the Project Coordinator will need to manage all stakeholders, agreeing targets and ensuring timelines and outputs are delivered. Experience of managing a project is therefore essential.

We are looking for motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Project Coordinators. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all resources and tasks are distributed according to a project's schedule. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is capable of prioritising tasks and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Experienced in leading and developing a team to provide excellent support/services. A track record of managing a multi-partner project is essential for this role.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a generalist Project Management

function within an organisation

  • Good telephone manner essential with high level of spoken English
  • Knowledge of the factors that can contribute to Data illiteracy and Digital

Exclusion (Desirable)

  • Experience of partnership working across a range of statutory and community

organisations

  • Experience of working on a Digital Inclusion project (Desirable)
  • Ability to think strategically and work in partnership with a range of organisations
  • Ability to conduct basic research and analysis and produce clear concise reports

and presentations

  • Ability to manage and deliver monitoring and reporting process
  • Ability to manage and implement project plans
  • Proficient in office digital skill e.g., MS Office, emails, zoom, collaboration tools
  • A natural collaborator and team player
  • Able and willing to work between home and various locations in Scotland.
  • Able to work flexible hours if required.
